Dhaval has over a decade of experience working at the science-policy-practice interface on conservation in India, including integrated conservation-development planning, ecosystem services, and conservation financing. At TNC he works as an Ecological Economist to our India program where he supports the program team on economic analyses and conservation planning.
Dhaval has a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer), Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from India, and an Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from three Universities across Europe.
He has been with TNC since 2016 and works from his home office in Baroda in Western India.
Based on scientific research, the SiteRight tool helps in selecting locations for solar and wind projects that can help meet India’s renewable energy goals while avoiding adverse impacts to people and the environment.
