Anita is an entrepreneurial leader who has successfully built brands, destinations, and businesses. She is passionate about sustainable development and believes that transformative approaches to the way we live and use natural resources are critical to the well-being of people and the health of the planet.
Anita’s multi-industry leadership experience spans consumer goods, information technology, and real estate. She currently serves as an Independent Director on the board of the NBFC - KKR India Asset Finance Limited. Previously, Anita was a member of the Group Executive Board at the Mahindra group and Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Lifespaces.
Her work in the development sector is focused on greenfield initiatives in education and environmental stewardship.
Anita is currently helping reimagine higher education in India as a member of the Board of Management at Krea University. She is also helping shape science-led conservation in India as a member of the India Advisory Board of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) India.
Anita previously served on the Steering Board of the World Economic Forum’s “Future of Urban Development & Services” and on the Board of Management of TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI University).
