Sushil Saigal

Dr Sushil Saigal has around 30 years of experience of working on issues related to natural resources management, climate change, and conservation – from field to policy level. He has held leadership positions in not-for-profits, think tanks, and bilateral projects. At TNC, Sushil oversees TNC India’s conservation portfolio and leads the program teams by providing strategic guidance and leadership.

He has completed three Masters degrees: MSc Forestry & Land Use (University of Oxford), MPhil Environment & Development (University of Cambridge), and PG Diploma/ Sectoral MBA (Indian Institute of Forest Management). He has several academic distinctions to his credit and has won several prestigious scholarships. He was a Gates Scholar at Cambridge and holds a PhD from the University’s Department of Geography. He has also received specialized training at East-West Center, Honolulu and University of California, Berkeley.
